SULLIVAN COUNTY – House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy will be in Sullivan County next week at a private fundraiser for fellow Republican Congressman Marcus Molinaro (R, NY-19).

It will cost $75 to attend and only after you send in your money will you be told where the event will be held.

And the campaign stop on Wednesday, August 23 is closed to the media.

This isn’t the first time McCarthy has been in the region. He stumped the same time last year for freshman Congressman Michael Lawler (NY-17) and failed House candidate Colin Schmitt, both also Republicans.

Back when Chris Gibson was a congressman, then-House Speaker John Baynor stumped in the region for him.

Molinaro’s event is being “hosted” by former Governor George Pataki, former Congressman John Faso, State Senator Peter Oberacker, and other political notables.
