Ulster County Board of Elections chooses new voting machines

KINGSTON – The Ulster County Board of Elections has selected Hart Intercivic as the provider for the next generation of voting machines in the county.  

   “Hart Intercivic stands out as an all-American made voting solution with a forward-thinking vision to make our elections more accessible and accountable. Their commitment to innovation, security, and voter satisfaction aligns seamlessly with our goals of maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the electoral process in Ulster County,” according to a statement from the board.

  “We are excited to partner with Hart Intercivic as we embark on this significant transition to modernize our voting system,” said Republican Commissioner John Quigley. “Their proven track record and dedication to producing cutting-edge voting solutions give us the confidence that we have made the right choice for the voters of Ulster County.” 

“We understand that familiarity with the new voting machines is crucial for both our election staff and the voters,” said Democratic Commissioner Ashley Torres. “We are actively working on developing training programs and informational campaigns to familiarize everyone with the new system. Additionally, we are excited to offer public demonstrations and opportunities for voters to experience the new machines firsthand.”
