TOWN OF NORTHEAST – First responders in Millerton were called to an Old Post Road #2 farm for a report of an overturned farm tractor late Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency personnel indicated that the tractor had overturned in a stream and the operator was trapped in the vehicle. A heavy wrecker was summoned to the scene to aid the firefighters in rescuing the unconscious operator.
At 5:30 p.m., the victim had been removed from the tractor and was conscious prior to being placed on a helicopter for transport to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
