Letter to the Editor: Central Hudson out of tune with concert promotion

Dear Editor:

I recently learned that Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. is sponsoring a radio station concert this weekend.  The promotion says that Central Hudson is paying half of the ticket price for people that purchase tickets to Sunday’s show.  That alone shows just how out of tune they are with their customers.

Central Hudson has once again shown they are out of touch. The recent announcement that they are sponsoring a concert while their customers suffer from skyrocketing rates and a faulty billing system is a slap in the face to everyone who is forced to deal with them.

As a customer that has been victimized by their alleged billing “computer glitch”, I feel like the company needs to address the skyrocketing utility rates and the billing disasters they inflicted before helping people go to a concert.  I don’t need to listen to an aging musician sing a 30-year-old song…I need Central Hudson to listen to me and the thousands of other unhappy customers.

Sincerely,

Michael Rutigliano
