NEW ROCHELLE – A New Rochelle man was arrested on Thursday on charges that he was imperso0nating a federal law enforcement officer.
New Rochelle detectives had an open investigation on a person who was alleged to have been in possession of a handgun and who had allegedly made comments that he was a federal agent.
At about 1:15 p.m., he was spotted driving.
During the traffic stop, the man, Manrique Perez, 48, identified himself as a federal agent.
Investigation determined he had a stolen handgun and federal law enforcement badges.
Perez was charged with criminal impersonation, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of stolen property.
