POUGHKEEPSIE – A 19-year-old city resident is dead after an early morning shooting in Poughkeepsie. The incident took place near the intersection of Market and Montgomery Streets in Poughkeepsie.
Police responded to the call of a shooting at approximately 2:06 a.m. An officer canvassing the area located the teen near Soldier Fountain, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was triaged and transported to Vassar Brothers Medical Center where he died during surgery.
