YONKERS – A man was stabbed to death in a parking garage at 25 Prospect Street in Yonkers on Wednesday morning at around 2:15 a.m.
Investigation determined the victim, whose name police did not release, was in possession of cell phones that did not belong to him.
Records indicated they belonged to a Necker Charles, 51, of White Plains.

Surveillance camera footage and witness accounts identified Charles as the primary suspect in the murder. Police said he had apparently been involved in a dispute with the victim over property.

Additional video footage captured Charles discarding a knife in a nearby sewer. The weapon was recovered and will be processed for forensic evidence, police said.

Detectives located Charles in a vehicle in Getty Square later in the day. He was apprehended without incident and charged with manslaughter.
