POUGHKEEPSIE – Taviasha Peters, 21, has been charged with two felonies after a Friday afternoon shooting that sent a 35-year-old male to the hospital with a life-threatening injury.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:12 p.m. near the intersection of S. Clinton and Montgomery Streets.

During the course of the investigation, police located Peters, a Poughkeepsie resident, and found her in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun.

Peters was arrested on the felonies of criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence and held pending arraignment.
