POUGHKEEPSIE – City police responded to a report of a fight near the intersection of S. Clinton and Montgomery Streets Friday afternoon at approximately 4:25 p.m. Upon arrival, a victim with a gunshot wound was located on the sidewalk. The victim was treated at the scene by Poughkeepsie firefighters and Mobile Life EMS before being transported to a local hospital.
Detectives were interviewing witnesses at the scene while other officers were collecting evidence and taking photographs.
No additional information has been made available as of 5:00 p.m.
