POUGHKEEPSIE – Nuvance Health has appointed a new president at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
Susan Browning replaces Peter Kelly who retired after a more than 40-year career in healthcare.
She joints Vassar from Northwell Health where she served as senior vice president of ambulatory strategy and business development. Prior to that, she was executive director of Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital.
Browning will also serve as western region president for Nuvance Health where she will have operational oversight of Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck and Putnam Hospital in Carmel.
She received her masters of public health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and bachelor of arts from Barnard College at Columbia University.
She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
