Mid-Hudson News welcomes columnist Albert Neubert

KINGSTON – Mid-Hudson News announced today the addition of Albert Neubert as a sports contributor and columnist.

Neubert has been writing about skiing and snowboarding for 36 years, including a featured weekly column for major newspapers in the greater New York metro area and the Catskill region. His columns have been picked up by news aggregators such as Yahoo Finance & News, Muck Rack, Flipboard and others. He has written for Ski Area Management (SAM), the industry trade publication and Snow Industry News.

Neubert has extensive relationships with the owners and managers of most ski areas in the Northeast and throughout the US. He has relevant experience in ski area operations, including grooming, snow making, and lift installation, management and maintenance.

Neubert has covered FIS World Cup Alpine racing events and has interviewed and skied with some of the US’s best racers including Mikaela Shiffrin, Diann Roffe Steinrotter, Pam Fletcher, Donna Weinbrecht, Doug Lewis, and Phil and Steve Mahre.

Albert Neubert started skiing at six years old when his father took him to the Simpson Memorial Ski Slopes in Phoenicia and put him on a rope tow on homemade wooden skis. His first ski lesson was his father yelling to him, “Follow me!”
