Kingston man arrested in connection with robbery and grand larceny

KINGSTON – A Kingston man,  who had been indicted for several felony offenses, was arrested on Thursday by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies and the US Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.

It is alleged that Daniel Neal IV, 43, forcefully stolen $3,000 in cash and lottery tickets from an employee of the Citgo gas station on Broadway in the Town of Esopus on November 18, 2022, and that the worker was assaulted and required treatment at the hospital.

It is also alleged that Neal stolen a pickup truck from the U-Haul Moving and Storage of Kingston in the Town of Ulster prior to the robbery and used the vehicle during commission of that crime.

Following his arrest, Neal was charged with robbery, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, assault, and criminal mischief.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $75,000 cash bail, $150,000 bond or $300,000 partially secured bond.

Sheriff’s detectives were assisted in the investigation by Town of Ulster Police, Kingston City Police, the Ulster District Attorney’s Office and US Marshals Service.
