City seeks members to serve on salary review commission

POUGHKEEPSIE – The common council is seeking members of the public to serve on the City of Poughkeepsie Salary Review Commission, which convenes every four years pursuant to the city charter.  The members of the commission will begin serving in June of this year and will make salary recommendations by May 1, 2023.  The salary recommendations will be voted on by the common council.

The commission will review salaries for elected officials in the city.

The seven-member commission will have three members appointed by Mayor Marc Nelson and three members appointed by the council.  A seventh member will be selected by the six appointees at its first meeting that will be called by the mayor.

Individuals interested in serving are asked to send letters of interest and resumes to City Chamberlain Jasmin Davis at the following address:

The requested documents can also be emailed to the chamberlain.  The deadline to submit the information is Friday, January 27, 2023.
