MONTGOMERY – Police are investigating a crash between a dump truck full of gravel and an SUV on Route 211 in front of the Orange County Airport in the Town of Montgomery.
The accident occurred just before noon on Wednesday.
Police on the scene said the truck crashed into the other vehicle that slammed into a guard rail across the road.
Witnesses said the dump truck flipped on its side and erupted in flames.
Police said amazingly the truck driver escaped serious injury.
There was no immediate word on the condition of the occupants of the other vehicle.
Town of Montgomery Police said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
