YONKERS – Police in the City of Yonkers are continuing to investigate a gunpoint carjacking of a pickup truck at a gas station.

Minutes before 6 p.m. on Saturday at 631 Yonkers Avenue, police responded to a report of an assault on the owner of the vehicle.

Three suspects had allegedly assaulted the 62-year-old truck owner and fled in it. The out-of-state victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police said. No shots were fired.

The vehicle was located and pursued into the Bronx where the driver lost control and crashed on the George Washington Bridge entrance ramp from the southbound Thruway.
