Rockland armed robbery suspect caught in Westchester

YONKERS – A 41-year-old Carteret, New Jersey man who is believed to have held up a minimart in the Town of Clarkstown on Monday, was arrested after fleeing over the Cuomo Tappan Zee Bridge and finally being stopped on the Sprain Brook Parkway.

Shahzah Khan was found to be driving with a suspended license and both plates were reported stolen out of New York City.

Khan was charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment of property, aggravated unlicensed operation and reckless driving.

Khan was  issued appearance tickets to Yonkers City Court and turned over to Clarkstown Police for an armed robbery in their jurisdiction.
