WARWICK – Yesterday’s Irish Pub on Main Street in Warwick is closing, but not for long.

First opened on June 14, 1985, John and Peggy Christison will be closing down for a while as they build a new home for the popular downtown staple.

The Christisons announced the closure last month, at the same time unveiling their plan to reopen the restaurant in 2023 at a new location in Warwick.  The Christisons have purchased property at 16 Elm Street, where they plan to erect a new building where the restaurant will call home.

They served their last meal at their present location on Sunday evening as they prepare for their big move in the future.
