If you woke up on Sunday and the time just didn’t seem right, it probably means to did not turn your clocks back one hour when you went to bed on Saturday night.

Sunday marks the end of Daylight Saving Time and a return to Eastern Standard Time, meaning that 9 a.m. is now 8 a.m. Confused?

Fire officials also remind everyone that this is a great time to check on and change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms save lives and need fresh batteries installed each year, unless they have sealed 10-year batteries.
