TARRYTOWN – A 50-year-old Tuckahoe woman has been arrested on a drunk driving charge after her car ran into the rear of a State Police car on the Cuomo Tappan Zee Bridge.

The incident occurred just after 9 p.m. on Wednesday as a state trooper was running stationary radar on the southbound shoulder of the bridge.

The trooper was transported to Montefiore Nyack Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and the woman, identified as Linda Kramer, was arrested. She refused a chemical test, was processed and released to a sober third party, police said. She is due on Greenburgh Town Court in November.

The trooper was released from the hospital and is recovering at home.
