ELLENVILLE – Industry is returning to Ellenville and the Town of Wawarsing following the groundbreaking of Cresco Labs’430,000 sq. ft. cannabis cultivation and manufacturing facility.

“This project is a massive win,” said Congressman Pat Ryan, (D, NY-19), who championed the project as the former Ulster County executive. “This is a site that was stagnant for almost two decades; finally some real reasons to be hopeful and optimistic. This puts Ellenville, this puts Ulster County and the Hudson Valley at the front edge of the 21st century economy.”

The facility is being constructed on the site of former TV antenna, cutlery and other manufacturing facilities.

Construction will begin on the cannabis facility with the renovation of an existing building on the site.

About 75 full-time employees will work at the renovated building once operational in the spring of 2023, and about 375 full-time jobs will be created when the 430,000 sq. ft. campus is operational in the future.
