NEW WINDSOR – A Beacon man is in the Orange County Jail without bail on a felony burglary charge for allegedly breaking into a Spruce Street home in New Windsor and stealing valuable items, including video game consoles, with a total value of over $2,700.

Jesse Moranski, 41, has four prior felony convictions in New York for burglary and has served 12 years in state prison for his past crimes.

In this latest break-in, using security video from another homeowner in the same neighborhood, New Windsor Police developed a description of the suspect.

Detectives were able to locate and recover all of the stolen property at a local pawn shop and identify Moranski through his ID used to pawn the stolen property.

Police determined he was temporarily staying at the Galaxy Motor Inn on Windsor Highway where he was located and placed under arrest at headquarters.

Moranski was charged with burglary, grand larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance and remanded to the Orange County Jail without bail.
