Ulster home sales slow down

KINGSTON – Sales of single-family homes in Ulster County dipped by more than 16 percent in July as compared to the same month last year, the Ulster County Board of Realtors reports.

A total of 138 homes sold this July compared to 165 one year earlier.

They are selling faster, though, with the average days on the market down 22 percent, from 41 days in July 2021 to 32 days this year.

Available listings rose by over 10 percent, going from 276 in July of last year to 305 this July.

The average selling price in July rose by 6.6 percent. In July 2021, the average selling price was $446,397, compared with $475,888 this year.

Year-to-date in 2021, 1.110 homes sold, compared with 844 so far this year with the average selling price of $459,709 this year, compared with $411,127 in the first seven months of 2021.
