NEWBURGH – Police in the City of Newburgh are investigating the latest shooting incident, this one around midnight at the Lake Street Apartments on Lake Drive.
The victim is said to have died from gunshot wounds.
Police blocked off several buildings with crime scene tape while detectives collected evidence as they focused on unit 178.

Shell casings could be seen on the ground in the parking lot and at least one car had its windows shot out by gunfire.
Cops were on the lookout for a suspect with no word this morning if they had anyone in custody.
Neighbors said they hope security cameras mounted on tops of the buildings will help police find any suspects.
The shooting is just steps away from where several people were stabbed two weeks ago.
