SERVICE HAS BEEN RESTORED AND COUNTY OFFICES ARE BACK IN BUSINESS.

MONTICELLO – New York State Electric and Gas is undertaking an emergency breaker repair today that will cut power to all Sullivan County facilities in the Monticello area, including the Government Center, the Courthouse, the District Attorney’s Office, the Sheriff’s Office/Jail and the Maplewood base of DPW.

This outage will begin at 11:30 a.m. today, Tuesday, July 26, and last for two hours, according to NYSEG.

Offices will remain open to the extent possible, but the normal range of services will not be available during this period of time and possibly longer, as the county will need time to reboot their systems.

Note that Liberty offices and outlying DPW stations should not be affected, so long as the outage is of the duration NYSEG is telling officials.
