Newburgh man arrested in Kingston on weapons charges

KINGSTON – The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 37-year-old Newburgh man following a traffic stop in the Kingston Plaza in the City of Kingston.

Jermaine Williams, who was pulled over at around 8 a.m. on June 21, was found in possession of a metal knuckle knife, an illegal loaded semi-automatic handgun and a forged license plate on the vehicle.

He was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a forged instrument.

Williams was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
