On Thursday night, a state trooper stopped a 2010 Saab traveling westbound on Washington Avenue in the Town of Ulster for traffic violations.  While speaking to the driver, identified as Niccole Lignowski, the trooper determined that she was impaired by drugs and attempted to arrest her. Lignowski resisted and became combative, including biting the trooper on the arm causing a laceration. She was eventually taken into custody and placed in the trooper’s vehicle.  Lignowski began kicking the front windshield of the police car, causing it to crack.  She also damaged the passenger front door.
