MIDDLETOWN – Kelly Ann Kelly, who served as Middletown City Treasurer since last summer, has resigned.
Mayor Joseph DeStefano has promoted her deputy as her replacement.
“Ms. Kelly decided to step down for personal reasons and her deputy, Leonora Liz will be stepping into that position. Leonora is well-qualified and had some experience here so we will be hiring a deputy treasurer to fill Leonora’s spot,” he said.
The common council is expected to confirm Liz’s appointment at this evening’s council session.
