Police ask for help in locating endangered adult

POUGHKEEPSIE – A 20-year-old man last seen by his family on April 30th is now the subject of a citywide search to locate him.  Jordan Jones, according to family members, suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome and does not readily communicate.

The City of Poughkeepsie Police received a missing person report from the distraught family on May 2nd after their personal attempts to locate him were unsuccessful.

Mr. Jones was last seen by his family at his 25 South Clover Street residence after a recent friendship had ended.

 The family of Jordoa Jones, according to police, “wiped” his cellphone and left it along with his wallet at his residence before he left. 

Jones worked in the Poughkeepsie Underwear Factory (PUF) building located at 8 North Cherry Street in the city but has not shown up to work since April 30, 2022. 

Jones only wears black clothing and he wears an oversized wristwatch. 

The missing man is described as being a 20-year-old black male, 5’7″ tall, weighing 140 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

Jones does not drive or ride a bicycle and he has no money or phone. 

He has been known to frequent Barnes & Noble on South Road (Route 9) in the Town of Poughkeepsie. 

A friend of Mr. Jones indicated to police that they possibly saw him in the area of 551 Main Street in Poughkeepsie on May 1, 2022.  

Anyone who may have seen Mr. Jones is asked to call the City of Poughkeepsie Police at 845-451-7577.
