State provides loans, grants for municipal water and wastewater projects

ALBANY – The State Environmental Facilities Corporation has approved funding for area water and wastewater projects.

The Village of Fishkill will receive a $4.12 million grant and $17.37 million short-term, interest-free loan for wastewater treatment plant upgrades, pump station upgrades, and installation of a new force main.

The Village of Florida will receive a $3 million water grant and a $2.29 million short-term, market-rate loan for water filtration system upgrades.

The New York City Municipal Water Finance Authority will receive $100 million in short-term, market-rate financing to design and construct the Croton water filtration plant and associated facilities in phase 15 of the project.
