BREAKING….School bus and police car involved in collision

LAGRANGE – A State Police vehicle and a school bus were involved in a collision on Tuesday afternoon.  The accident occurred near the intersection of Route 55 and North Cross Road shortly after 3 p.m.

The school bus was occupied by a driver and three students.  The New York State trooper’s vehicle had full airbag deployment.  First responders have told Mid-Hudson News that the State Trooper was operating a Ford Explorer SUV.

At 3:40 p.m. LaGrange Fire Chief Tim O’Connor radioed to report that one patient was being transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital on an Advanced Life Support ambulance.

The LaGrange Fire Department, assisted by Arlington firefighters, is being assisted at the scene with an Advanced Life Support ambulance from EMStar/Empress, a LaGrange ambulance, and an ambulance from the Town of Wappinger.  The Union Vale Fire Department was summoned to the scene around 3:30 p.m.

Motorists can expect road closures on Route 55 in the vicinity of North Cross Road.
