Medical examiner called to house fire, explosion

PINE ISLAND – A house fire and reported explosion late Saturday afternoon on Little York Road in Pine Island claimed one life, according to police radio transmissions.

An Orange County medical examiner was called to the scene and Warwick Town Police and fire officials are investigating the incident.

No other information was immediately available.
