TOWN OF WALLKILL – Police in the Town of Wallkill were staking out an apartment complex at 644 Silver Lake Scotchtown Road Wednesday afternoon with what Chief Robert Hertman said was a 56-year-old woman suffering from a health crisis.

The chief stationed officers there all day “out of an abundance of caution” and just before 10 p.m., she agreed to come out after a conversation with him.

The woman was transported to Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis for observation. “She was very cooperative,” Hertman said.

There were no allegations of criminal activity and there were no weapons  involved, he said.
