HAVERSTRAW – Effective Monday, January 31, Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry service will be suspended and replaced with substitute buses until further notice due to seasonal icing conditions on the Hudson River.

Buses will travel between Haverstraw and Tarrytown and depart from Haverstraw 15-20 minutes earlier than the scheduled ferry.

Customers traveling northbound should detrain at Tarrytown (instead of Ossining) to connect with bus service to Haverstraw.

Just recently, Newburgh-Beacon Ferry service was also suspended because of ice on the river.
