GOSHEN – A Port Jervis man has been indicted by an Orange County grand jury in connection with a November 3, 2021 shooting.

The indictment charges Christopher Sicina, 22, with attempted murder, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment following an investigation into a nighttime shooting on Hammond Street in the City of Port Jervis.

Several gunshots were discharged at a house, leading to the allegation that Sicina attempted to murder the resident as he attempted to leave through

the front door.

Sicina was also charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle when officers tried to take him into custody on January 2, 2022.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

“Gun violence in our cities simply cannot be tolerated,” said District Attorney David Hoovler.
