ALBANY – Since the Thanksgiving holiday, the number of new daily COVID-19 positives in the Hudson Valley/Catskills has averaged between 2,000 and 3,000.
Post-Christmas, the one-day positives for Tuesday, December 28, has reached 8,203. The higher numbers can be attributed to holiday gatherings and crowded shopping centers.
The number of new deaths in Tuesday totaled 15 – four in Orange County, three each in Westchester and Rockland, two in Dutchess, and one each in Sullivan, Greene and Delaware.
