EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan lost his wager to Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus on Saturday as Navy defeated Army in the annual football matchup 17 to 13.

It was a bittersweet win for Neuhaus as he is a lieutenant commander in the Navy Reserves while the Army team calls home at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in Orange County.

Ryan, who is a West Point graduate who served two combat tours in the Middle East as an Army intelligence officer, bet Neuhaus Fruition Chocolate from Shokan, Keegan Ales beer from Kingston, and a bottle of Hudson Whiskey from Gardiner. e wi

Had Neuhaus lost the wager, he would have had to folk over a bottle of Riesling from Brotherhood Winery in Washingtonville, rye-barrel aged Maple Syrup from Finding Home Farms in Greenville, and Apple Cider doughnuts from Soons Orchards in New Hampton.

There was apparently no truth the rumor that if Army won, Neuhaus would have to build a Lego battle tank for Ryan at Legoland in Goshen and if Navy won, Ryan would have to build a Lego battleship for Neuhaus.
