TOWN OF THOMPSON – A large power outage in the area of Anawana Lake Road and Route 42 in the Town of Thompson Friday afternoon disrupted traffic and shopping. Traffic lights were also out making maneuvering intersections difficult.
When power went out in Walmart, the store was evacuated.
Thompson Town Hall, without power, was closed for the day.
New York State Electric and Gas was working on the problem in hopes of restoring power by evening.
