Catskill murder victim identified

CATSKILL – Police have released the name of the victim of a homicide in the Village of Catskill on November 27.

Scott Myers, 68, who lived at 39 West Bridge Street was stabbed at about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Catskill resident Carrie Weisser, 32, was arrested on November 27 on felony murder charges in connection with the murder.

First responders attempted to save the victim’s life but were unsuccessful.  Myers died at the scene.

As a result of the investigation, State Police charged Weisser with murder. She was arraigned before Justice William Jacobs at the Town of Catskill Court and remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail.

Weisser and the victim were known to each other and the case is still under investigation.
