NEWBURGH – The third annual “Shopping Crawl” is returning to the City of Newburgh this weekend, November 27-28.  A group of 38 small businesses ranging from restaurants to retail establishments is participating during the weekend, expanding the program from the previous “Shop Small Saturday”.

Participating vendors are offering sales and specials on one-of-a-kind gifts and restaurant experiences, and a chance to win various raffle prizes.  Organizers say “This is an opportunity to support local businesses, coming together to strengthen our community and shopping districts.”

Shoppers are encouraged to start their weekend shopping at Grit Works at 115 Broadway to register and sign up for their “Shop Small” passport, starting at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.  The event runs until 5:00 p.m. Sunday.  After receiving a passport, shoppers are encouraged to get it stamped at each business they visit.  For every five stamps received, the shopper will receive a raffle ticket for a prize basket.  Shoppers must bring their stamped passports back to Grit Works or Newburgh Mercantile at 75 Broadway prior to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, in order to be eligible for prizes.
