WASHINGTON – New York State Homes and Community Renewal is going to make $2 million in funding available to assist homeowners in Mid-Hudson Valley counties who were impacted by Hurricane Ida and were ineligible for previous federal aid.

State Homes and Community Renewal Commissioner Ruth Ann Visnauskas said the funds will assist those who suffered damage from the storm.

“The $2 million fund is going to provide bridge loans for low- and moderate-income homeowners with a primary residence in New York, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan and Ulster counties. Eligible homeowners will be able to apply for grants through a non-profit partner organization,” she said.

The program was hailed by Congressmen Sean Maloney and Antonio Delgado as well as several local officials in the impacted counties.
