Governor recommends new executive director for Bridge Authority

ALBANY – Governor Kathy Hochul has recommended that the commissioners of the New York State Bridge Authority appoint Minosca Alcantara as executive director.

Alcantara is chief of project scheduling at MTA Construction and Development, and commissioner to the Equal Employment Practices Commission for the City of New York.

She is a civil engineer with expertise in large, urban projects and construction management. She has worked as a lead cost/schedule engineer in a number of projects involving architectural, infrastructure, and wastewater management locally and internationally.

She holds a doctorate in education from Columbia University.

The New York State Bridge Authority manages the five Mid-Hudson bridges over the Hudson River.
