WHITE PLAINS – Former Green Haven Correctional Facility officer Aaron Finn of Hyde Park was arrested on Thursday and charged with allegedly using excessive force amounting to cruel and unusual punishment against a restrained inmate.

Finn, 35, allegedly struck and thrashed him, causing bodily injury to that inmate in violation of his rights under the U.S. Constitution.

It is alleged that on March 19, 2020, while working at the maximum security prison in Stormville, Finn struck the inmate several times and thrashed his body and head while he was restrained.

Finn is charged with one count of deprivation of civil rights under color of law, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in federal prison.
