KINGSTON – An inmate at the Ulster County Jail has been arrested on a felony assault charge for allegedly attacking another inmate at the Kingston facility.
The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office says at just before 11:30 a.m. on October 23, Christopher Johnson, 29, of Kingston allegedly initiated a physical altercation with another inmate that caused serious injuries.
The victim was transported by Mobile Life Support Services to a hospital for treatment. His injuries were not life-threatening, authorities said.
Johnson will appear in Kingston City Court at a later date.
