Five vehicles hit by gunfire in Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE – Police responded to the area of Hudson Garden Apartments on Monday at approximately 9:13 p.m. after Poughkeepsie city 911 received multiple reports of “shots fired.”  Police did not locate any victims in the vicinity but located several vehicles with damage from gunfire.

 

According to police, they found five unoccupied vehicles near the Hudson Avenue basketball courts that had sustained damage after being struck by bullets.  Several shell casings were located in the area of Weed Street and Hudson Avenue.  The scene was turned over to crime scene technicians for processing.

 

Police are asking for anyone with information regarding this incident to call the confidential tip line at 845-451-7577.
