MIDDLETOWN – Richard Del Moro has announced his resignation as superintendent of the Enlarged Middletown City School District. He will remain on the job for the next few weeks. His departure was announced as his retirement from the district.
The announcement came during Thursday night’s school board meeting with all board members accepting his decision without comment.
There has been an outcry by members of the community as well as many staff members including teachers and mid-level administrators, that top district officials have turned a blind eye to allegations of sexual harassment and other inappropriate behavior among some district employees.
