FedEx driver accused of sexually abusing underage girls in delivery truck

MILLBROOK – The State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation has arrested a 30-year-old Poughkeepsie man on several charges related to alleged criminal sexual behavior toward underage girls while he worked delivering packages as a FedEx driver.

Joshua Ginyard, 30, was charged with two counts each of rape, criminal sexual act, and disseminating indecent material to a minor, all as felonies, and a misdemeanor of forcible touching.

It is alleged that Ginyard would pick up the juveniles while operating his company truck during the course of his workday. He would transport them to a remote location in the Town of Washington where he would give them marijuana and then had sex with one child on two separate occasions. He also allegedly forcibly touched another teen while inside the truck.

Ginyard also allegedly send explicit text messages to two of the juveniles.

He was arrested on August 17, arraigned, and released on his own recognizance.

Six days later, on August 23, following additional investigation, he was charged with rape, criminal sexual act and forcible touching resulting in him being incarcerated in the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

Police said additional charges are pending.

State Police were assisted by Millbrook Village Police, the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center and District Attorney’s Office.
