CATSKILL – State Police have charged a 30-year-old Catskill man with murder, assault and tampering with physical evidence following the death of another man in the Village of Catskill.
Troopers were called to the area of 31 Summit Avenue just before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 22 for a report of an assault with injuries.
Officers located two men, one of whom was transported to Albany Medical Center with a stab wound to his back.
Another victim, identified as Adam White, 28, of Catskill, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Following an investigation by State Police, Village of Catskill Police and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Michael White was arrested and charged.
Police did not say if the victim and accused assailant were related nor did they disclose the nature of the injury that resulted in the death of Adam White.
Police said the investigation is continuing with charges pending against an additional person.
During the course of the investigation, Jennifer Hall, 37, of Catskill, was charged with hindering prosecution as a felony. She was released on an appearance ticket pending future court action.
