KINGSTON – Ulster County Public Works Commissioner Tom Jackson is retiring after 27 years of public service.

During his career, Jackson served in a number of positions including as director of the county Real Property Tax Service agency, public transit coordinator, supervisor for the Town of Marbletown, and since 2017, as county DPW commissioner.

“Through his services in multiple critical Ulster County departments and his time as Marbletown supervisor, Tom Jackson has exemplified what it means to be a true public servant,” said County Executive Patrick Ryan.

The public works department serves as the operational arm of county government in the construction, maintenance, and management of county infrastructure and facilities for their safe, economical, and efficient utilization by county personnel and the public.
