POUGHKEEPSIE – A traffic stop on Academy Street in the City of Poughkeepsie led to the arrest of a Poughkeepsie man on drug charges.

State Police pulled over Reynaldo Mojica, 38, on Tuesday, July 27 and an investigation yielded 19 grams of crack cocaine and 7.4 ounces of heroin.

It was also determined that Mojica initially provided a false name in an attempt to evade an active warrant for his arrest.

He was charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance – one count with intent to sell. He was also charged with a misdemeanor drug count and criminal impersonation.

Mojica was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail pending a future court appearance.
