WURTSBORO – A July 13 traffic stop in Mamakating resulted in a 31-year-old Montrose, PA resident being charged with felony gun possession. After arraignment, the man was released with an appearance ticket for a July 21 court date.
State Police stopped a vehicle at 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday for a traffic violation on Route 17 in Mamakating. Dustin Showers, a passenger in the vehicle was found to be in illegal possession of a loaded handgun.
Showers was arrested and charged with felony Criminal Possession of a Weapon, arraigned before Neversink Town Justice Gotsch, and released on an appearance ticket to reappear in Mamakating Justice Court on July 21.
